Former Saints head coach Sean Payton has a unique compliment for Teddy Bridgewater

Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater just retired, prompting former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton to offer Bridgewater a surprising tribute.

Teddy Bridgewater, a veteran NFL quarterback, recently retired. Earlier this season, Bridgewater indicated that the 2023 season

will be his final in the NFL. After his season concluded, Bridgewater was named head coach at his old mater, Miami Northwestern Senior High School.

After being taken in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Bridgewater spent the next ten seasons as a quarterback for seven

different clubs. During his 10-year career, Bridgewater spent two years with the New Orleans Saints in 2018 and 2019.

Sean Payton, the Saints’ coach during Bridgewater’s stint in New Orleans, recently commented on Bridgewater’s intention to segue into coaching.

Payton told Pro Football Talk’s Peter King that the kids Bridgewater will coach are unaware of their fortunate situation.
