Exclusive: Expert claims there will still be a release clause for Man United and West Ham this summer.

Serhou Guirassy, a striker for Stuttgart, was linked to Manchester United and West Ham United in January. These teams could be interested in learning that Guirassy has a generous €17.5 million release clause in the summer.

In the most recent edition of his Daily Briefing column, transfer news specialist Fabricio Romano made this claim. The journalist clarified that it’s unclear at this point whether teams like Manchester United, West Ham, and AC Milan will be in the running for the prolific Guinea international again in the summer.

But if they are, they may have another opportunity to buy Guirassy for a low price because his January option will become active once more. If he keeps scoring goals in the Bundesliga at such a high pace, I’m sure there will be a lot of interest in him.

With 19 goals in 16 games across all competitions this season, the 27-year-old has an excellent scoring record. Given Marcus Rashford‘s recent slump in form and Rasmus Hojlund’s somewhat sluggish start to life at Old Trafford, it is easy to see why United might benefit from bringing in someone like him.

Since Jarrod Bowen, who isn’t really a center-forward, has been too dependent on him to score goals, West Ham has also required more of a goal threat for a while.

“Serhou Guirassy – The striker’s release clause at Stuttgart will still be there for the summer,” Romano stated, speaking about Guirassy’s circumstances.

Manchester United, West Ham, and AC Milan were all considering him in January, but a lot of things happen at teams in the summer. Nothing is settled right now; some clubs change managers, some change directors.
