Brendan Rodgers must start ‘electric’ 26-year-old if Celtic want to beat Hibs tonight

There is only one goal between the two clubs, and with Celtic playing Hibs tonight, Brendan Rodgers needs to win three points to distance himself from Philippe Clement. The Celtic manager needs to make one adjustment before the trip to the capital to improve Rodgers‘ chances of securing his first-ever away victory against Hibs since his team is out of form and isn’t playing with enough clinicality up front.

With his relentless pressing and harrying, Maeda provides excellent support on the left wing and has an amazing engine. Not to mention, Maeda’s “electric” pace makes it really easy to track back. Consider this: if Maeda had been on the field on Saturday, would Bojan Miovski have scored that free run off Maik Nawrocki?

Both Glasgow clubs are currently under pressure to win the championship, but Celtic cannot afford another mistake after blowing a ten-point lead at the top of the league. With Maeda beginning tonight, the Hoops would have a better chance of winning all three points. In other news, Ronny Deila, a 25-year-old who has been dubbed “incredible,” could help Celtic resolve their left-back problem.
