Absolutely Sensational’ – Sky Sports pundit drools over one Rangers ace for what he did v Dons-Ibrox News

Rangers: Sky Sports pundit loses his mind over ‘sensational’ Rabbi Matondo moment v Aberdeen.

Kenny Miller gushed about Rabbi Matondo’s performance for Rangers in the first half against Aberdeen on Tuesday (6 February).

Speaking on co-commentary on Sky Sports Football (08:38pm), the pundit praised the Welsh international’s “absolutely sensational” performance as he took on multiple Dons players.

However, he believes the 23-year-old should have concentrated on his own attempt since he was unsure whether to pass to Cyriel Dessers before seeing his effort blocked by a covering defender in the Gers’ 2-1 victory at Ibrox.

“It is absolutely sensational play from Matondo,” Miller added. “This is an amazing pass from Todd Cantwell. He turns Aberdeen’s defense inside out.

“But he’s hoping to slip Dessers in. He’s seeking for a teammate, but he should have focused on the shot.”

Rabbi Matondo showed what he can offer for Rangers

Matondo had a number of positive moments for Rangers as he attempts to carve himself more regular minutes at Ibrox.

He scored for the Gers just seven minutes into the game, his fourth of the season against Aberdeen.

After being sidelined due to injury when Philippe Clement joined the club, the Welshman has made few starts in recent months.

Despite a missed opportunity before the break, the winger demonstrated potential to replace the vacuum left by Abdallah Sima, who is expected to be absent for several months.

To win further trophies this season, the Light Blues will rely on their forward players to perform well in the coming months.
