In the Rangers’ anticipated lineup against Aberdeen, Clement leaves Silva out.

Tomorrow night, Rangers and Aberdeen will square off.

Glasgow Rangers defeated Livingston 3-0 at Ibrox over the weekend, and they will tie for first place in the Premiership with another success tomorrow night.

After just seven games, the Gers were eight points behind, which is a testament to how well Philippe Clement has performed since taking over at the Light Blues in October.

With Neil Warnock taking over at the Dons until the end of the season, Aberdeen will be motivated to secure a win when they play Glasgow on Tuesday night.

Given the quick turnaround in matchups from the previous weekend, the Belgian might make a few changes. It will be intriguing to watch which team he chooses.

In light of this, here is a possible starting lineup for tomorrow’s matchup between the Dons and the Red Sox at Ibrox.

GK- Jack Butland

The Englishman maintained his 19th clean sheet of the season over the weekend, and to be honest, he was barely involved in the match against Livingston.

Bojan Miovski, the 12 goal hero for the Dons, will be scoring goals for pleasure, so Aberdeen will be a lot bigger threat, and he will need to be at the top of his game to stop the striker.

RB – James Tavernier

The seasoned captain, who joined Rangers in 2015, earned his 300th league appearance against Livi. He has been an amazing asset to the team.

With 17 goals this season, Tavernier leads the Gers in scoring, but the defender will be hopeful that tomorrow night will bring him his first Premiership goal of 2024.

Just before Christmas, Tavernier scored the game-winning goal against Aberdeen in the League Cup final, and the Ibrox supporters will be happy to see another powerful goal like that.

CB – Connor Goldson.

After keeping a clean sheet against Livi, Connor Goldson will continue to start because he limited the Livi frontline throughout the match.

The seasoned center back, who has only missed four games this year, is essential to Rangers’ hopes of winning the remaining 2023–2024 campaign.

CB  – John Souttar

Leon. Balogun started the match against Livi, however he was substituted by Souttar in the first half due to a facial injury that stopped him from playing.

Although the Nigerian’s return date is unknown, the former Hearts center defender will start the match against the Dons.

LB – Ridvan Yilmaz

Yilmaz will be back for the match at Ibrox tomorrow, although Borna Barisic received his first start since the League Cup final a week before Christmas on the weekend.

The Turkish defender was the subject of a lot of speculation regarding his potential departure from Rangers during the winter transfer window, but he is contracted to stay until the end of the season, and his current play suggests that he may be a key member of the team that pursues greatness.

CM – John Lundstram is the

The 29-year-old midfielder for Sheffield United is nearing the end of his contract at Ibrox, but if he continues to play as well as he has since Clement took over, an extension will undoubtedly be given.

Since mid-October, Lundstram has only missed one game. His consistency has allowed the Belgian manager to use him for all but one of his games, therefore tomorrow night he will start.

CM – Nicolas Raskin

The 22-year-old has had a difficult season thus far, missing 18 games due to injury, and this past weekend he did not play as a substitute against Livingston.

Raskin should replace Ryan Jack in the starting lineup as squad rotation is crucial over the next two weeks. The midfielder might benefit much from 90 minutes.

RW – Ross McCausland

Since making his official debut in the first team back in October, the young Irish winger has been rising quickly. In 22 games for the senior team, he contributed five goals.

Against Livingston, the young player showed off his attacking skills on the right wing by making three crucial passes, picking up an assist, taking six shots overall, and even missing a significant opportunity.

The Dons might be more difficult to beat than Livi, thus McCausland will have to play at his peak to create some openings against their defense.

AM –  Todd Cantwell

Todd Cantwell is gradually getting back to the form he showed in the last few months of the previous season.

The Englishman has now scored four league goals in his last six top flight games, after needing until November to score his first goal of the season. This is the kind of form that Clement has been expecting to see.

The former Norwich City jewel will be released in the tenth position once more, and if he keeps up his recent performances, the Dons will be ran ragged.

LW – Oscar Cortes

The January acquisition looked eager to make an impact when he made his debut over the weekend, substituting for Rabbi Matondo in the second half.

The young player, described by Rangers Journal creator Kai Watson as a “very promising young winger,” could pose a serious threat to the Dons tomorrow night because of his directness and quickness.

The five-foot-ten sensation has all the makings of a successful Rangers player, and if he scores against Pittodrie, he might win over the Ibrox supporters.

ST – Cyriel Dessers

Fabio Silva scored during the weekend, but Dessers might return to the starting lineup to keep the team feeling somewhat youthful.

The Nigerian scored in each of his first three 2024 games, and after a challenging start to the year, his play has steadily improved.

His recent comeback would be continued and all three points could be secured for Glasgow with a goal against Aberdeen.
