With Stefon’s younger brother, Trevon Diggs, on the Cowboys’ roster, there may be an opportunity for Dallas to keep the star wideout on a more favorable contract in order for him to remain in Dallas with his family.
Why the Dallas Cowboys Need To Trade for Stefon Diggs
In 2023, the Cowboys’ offensive ranked among the top five, but there is always room for improvement. Getting a guy like Diggs might be extremely beneficial for them, especially if they want to finally break their Super Bowl drought.
Giving Dak Prescott more weapons to use should help the club become more consistent in the future. Imagine a wide-ranging triad of CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Diggs. This would be the ultimate poison pill.
Diggs had another 1000-yard reception season in 2023, with 107 grabs for 1183 yards and eight touchdowns.
In a recent article by Bleacher Report, the publication dived more on the idea, noting that it could very well be a deal that could reshape in the NFL in 2024.
In this situation, the cap-strapped Buffalo Bills may opt to finally part ways with top wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who has shown displeased on multiple occasions in the last year and is coming off a somewhat dismal season.
If that’s the case, the increasingly desperate Dallas Cowboys may be willing to take Diggs off Buffalo’s hands in a trade that would almost certainly have to take place after June 1 due to salary-cap limits.
Diggs will be joining his younger brother, Trevon, in Dallas, therefore he may be willing to work out a new, more team-friendly contract with the Cowboys. That would be massive, as would his presence on a team that was easily one of the finest in football but fell short in the playoffs this season.
Of course, it’s unclear what it will take for the Cowboys to get Diggs from the Bills, but it’s certainly worth considering.

The question that matters more right now is if the Buffalo Bills would truly want to deal Stefon Diggs. Recent reports state that Diggs is anticipated to stay committed to the squad and is not expected to request a trade.
However, given that Diggs has already voiced his displeasure with the team, it’s possible he changes his mind. In this case, the Bills may also be more inclined to trade him because they can’t afford to risk having a disgruntled player on the team.
There has previously been talk of a Diggs trade. That being said, it wouldn’t be all that unlikely that the Dallas Cowboys would have the opportunity to look at a Diggs contract.
