Boston Bruins’ Pastrnak Mocks Maple Leafs After NHL All-Star Game Win – “Good for them, they needed some wins”

The Toronto Maple Leafs currently sit fourth place in the NHL’s Atlanta Division but that didn’t stop some of their stars from shinning at the All-Star Game this weekend.Led by center Auston Mathews, Team Mathews defeated Team McDavid 7-4 on Saturday in an exciting back and forth encounter. Mathew’s team also boasted three other Maple Leaf players: Morgan Rielly, William Nylander, Mitch Marner. With Toronto hosting the event this year, it was a feel-good moment for the hockey fans that made it out to the Scotiabank Arena.However, not every was happy with the final outcome. Boston Bruins winger David Pastrnak found time after the game to take a departing shot at his rivals.

“Good for them. They needed some wins. They got one,” said PastrnakDavid Pastrnak’s Bruins and Maple Leafs compete in the same division. Boston currently lead the standings with a 31-9 record. On this occasion, however, it was the Maple Leafs players that got the last laugh. The NHL’s format for the All-Star Game is different to that of the NBA and MLB. Individual captains can select their teams with players from either conference and the game is played in a 3 on 3 format.The decision to select three other Leaf players seemed to work out for Auston Mathews. Team Mathews won both their games to scoop the million dollar prize.
