After winning the NHL All-Star Game, Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins mocks the Maple Leafs, saying, “Good for them, they needed some wins.”

Even though the Toronto Maple Leafs are fourth in the NHL‘s Atlanta Division right now, some of its players still had a great weekend at the All-Star Game.

Team Mathews defeated Team McDavid 7–4 on Saturday in an exciting back-and-forth game, with center Auston Mathews leading the way. Mathew’s team also included Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and Morgan Rielly, three more Maple Leafs. Since Toronto was hosting the event this year, it was an emotional occasion for the hockey fans who packed the Scotiabank Arena.

Not everyone, though, was pleased with the outcome. Winger David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins took some time following the game to make a last jab at his opponents.

Well done, guys. They required some victories. Pastrnak remarked, “They got one.” The Maple Leafs and the Bruins of David Pastrnak play in the same division. Boston has a 31-9 record and is presently atop the standings. But this time, the players for the Maple Leafs were the ones who ended up laughing the hardest.

The NBA, MLB, and NHL all have various formats for their All-Star Games. The match is played in a 3 on 3 format, and individual captains are free to choose their teams from players in either conference. Auston Mathews seems to have made the right choice in selecting three additional Leaf players. With two victories, Team Mathews took home the $1 million prize.
