A significant portion of the champions‘ fan base is dissatisfied with how the January transfer window went, since only two players were added despite Brendan Rodgers’ demands for a higher caliber of players in his starting lineup.

The only new players were Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah, the latter on a season-long loan from Norwich. And in the midst of the current title battle with archrivals Rangers, supporters in the away game at Pittodire have made their feelings known as the focus has now returned to on-field concerns with the window closed.

When the teams came out of the tunnel, some of the fans raised a banner. The text says, “Celtic board-on your heads be it.” Heard cries of’sack the board’ and ‘[Peter] Lawwell, get to f***’ as well.

Later afternoon, Rangers visit Ibrox to play Livingston. On Tuesday night, they will play Aberdeen in their game in hand over Celtic, when the difference between the two teams can get smaller. Rodgers claimed that Idah was not a last-minute panic acquisition, saying the new Celtic attacker possesses the same kind of promise as Moussa Dembele did when he initially joined the team.
