In relation to Rangers misfit Jose Cifuentes, the great Ronaldo of Brazil has hinted that he may try to give Cruzeiro supporters a gift prior to the carnival in Belo Horizonte.
Under Michael Beale’s leadership, Cifuentes joined the Gers in the summer, but he has struggled to break into the starting lineup with a string of subpar performances, trailing behind players like Ryan Jack, Nico Raskin, John Lundstram, and more—and that’s before we even factored in the addition of Mohamed Diomande from FC Nordsjaelland earlier this week for the winter.
The Ecuadorian, who arrived from LAFC, has been strongly linked with a transfer away from Ibrox after just six months in Glasgow. He needs a fresh start if he is to advance in his career. Cruzeiro is one of such teams, and since the legendary player from Brazil is on the management team, he has assured supporters of a gift prior to the carnival, which will heighten the festive atmosphere.
“There will be two new players at the club next week in time for the Carnival!” Ronaldo also said to the supporters of his team.
Ronaldo, also referred to as “R9” because of his association with the number nine shirt during his playing career, has invested £60 million in the team and will be in charge of numerous transfers.
