Two Premiership clubs ‘reach agreement’ for Rangers linked striker.
Rangers were apparently interested in Kevin van Veen, a former Motherwell striker.
Kevin van Veen, the Netherlands star, must choose between St Mirren and Kilmarnock after both teams agreed to a loan arrangement with Groningen.
The striker scored 29 goals for Mother well last season and now plays for Groningen in the Dutch second tier.
But he is said to be uneasy in his own nation, where Van Veen’s partner, from Scotland, is expecting a child.
Steelmen manager Stuart Kettlewell said that a return to Fir Park was unlikely due to financial constraints.
There were also suggestions in recent weeks that Rangers were considering a move for the former Well star.
