Rangers reject Premier League bid for keeper Jack Butland
Since moving from Crystal Palace to Ibrox in the summer, Butland has proven to be an outstanding performer. Additionally, the Rangers Review is aware that no proposals will be accepted this month. Manager Philippe Clement is very close to signing Oscar Cortes, a winger from Colombia, as he prepares to sign a loan agreement from RC Lens. This month, Clement has already secured the signatures of Mohamed Diomande and Fabio Silva.
Reports linking Rabbi Matondo with a return to the Bundesliga are believed to be wide of the mark as Clement finalises his squad for the second half of the campaign. That group will include Butland and Rangers will not accept offers for him before the close of business on Thursday night.
In Saturday’s victory over St Mirren, the 30-year-old recorded another clean sheet and expressed his excitement to rejoin the England team in time for this summer’s European Championship.
Butland remarked, “You can only do what you can do.” “I’ve had my moments, my seasons, when I was the best in England, in my opinion.”I’m limited to what I’m doing at this time. It has been a while since I was in that England team. No, if I said that was the first thing on my mind. Of course, I would be thrilled to have it.
“In the end, I have to perform for Rangers, and the reality is that we currently play frequently, competing in prestigious leagues, and we still have European football to play.” Perhaps that would be a good location to continue highlighting that. “I know they have a lot of players and goalies to choose from on their roster. They don’t waste time, knowing the England camp, and they would have taken care of it sooner if it was something they were thinking about.
