Everton transfer news: Maximilian Beier release clause update amid Liverpool, Brentford, Burnley links

Maximilian Beier’s release clause is updated in Everton transfer news amidst ties to Burnley, Brentford, and Liverpool.

v.li.: Mats Hummels (BVB, 15), Maximilian Beier (Hoffenheim, 14), Zweikampf, Spielszene, Duell, duel, tackle, tackling, Dynamik, Action, Aktion, 29.09.2023, Sinsheim (Deutschland), Fussball, Bundesliga, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim – Borussia Dortmund, 29.09.2023, Sinsheim (Deutschland), Fussball, Bundesliga, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim – Borussia Dortmund, DFB/DFL REGULATIONS PROHIBIT ANY USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS AS IMAGE SEQUENCES AND/OR QUASI-VIDEO. Maximilian Beier’s contract features a release clause, according to Sport Bild, despite Everton, Liverpool, Burnley, and Brentford connections.

The 21-year-old has a 27.7 million release clause, according to a story published on page 25 of the print version of the German newspaper on Wednesday, January 31.

However, this value is reduced by £2.1million every year but the Toffees have to beat rivals Liverpool and other Premier League sides to sign the Hoffenheim striker.

The German forward is no longer a relevant player for the Toffees, as evidenced by the release clause (which is reduced annually) indicating that Hoffenheim values him highly and intends to fetch a big transfer fee.

This might raise the total price that the Toffees pay to get Beier.

Second, Everton’s pursuit is made more difficult by Liverpool’s and other Premier League teams’ competitors.

Competing against local rivals like Liverpool, who likely have more financial resources and prestige, makes it challenging for the Toffees.

Furthermore, Everton may not want to pursue Beier given their present transfer strategy and ambitions, especially because he has a release clause and they may already have limited finances available for acquisitions.

As and when the money become available, Sean Dyche will have more critical positions that require strengthening so that supporters can put this one out of their minds.

A £7 million buyout option has been added to Everton’s transfer agreement to sign a player in form in January.
