Derek Ferguson drops £6m Rangers transfer verdict on Lawrence Shankland, he’s at the ‘peak of his powers’
Derek Ferguson believes that Rangers should be prepared to shell out up to £6 million to get Lawrence Shankland from Hearts in a deal that would push the deadline.
The 28-year-old Scotland international striker has been connected to a move to Ibrox for the
entirety of the January transfer window, but as of now, no deal has materialised.
Despite a fresh offer from the Jambos, The Fourth Official said on Patreon [January 31] that
Shankland might be the “final piece of Rangers’ puzzle” before the deadline of February 1.
Ferguson believes Shankland, who leads the Scottish Premiership in scoring with 14 goals this year,
could significantly improve Philippe Clement’s team, but he is now sceptical that a deal will be
completed this close to the deadline.

“I don’t think they’ve got the money. That deal would have been done and dusted because there’s
one thing for sure, when you look here in Scotland, there are two players who have stood out,” he
remarked in an interview with Ibrox News.
