ANALYSIS OF GUARDS/CENTER 2023 SEASON:
James Hurst had to switch from left guard to left tackle early in the season in order to replace Trevor Penning, which caused some instability. However, after that, the offensive line’s interior largely gelled with Hurst back at left guard, Erik McCoy at center, and Caesar Ruiz at right guard.As an injured substitute, Max Garcia had a little role, but as the season went on, Hurst, McCoy, and Ruiz seemed to settle into a rhythm.

The offensive line, center and guards included, was playing at its peak during the regular-season finale. The Saints ran for 35 plays for 154 yards and two touchdowns, and quarterback Derek Carr threw 22 of 28 throws for 264 yards and four touchdowns, two sacks, and no interceptions.
