Defensor Leo Hjelde has officially joined Sunderland from Leeds United. Since the first day of the season, the 20-year-old has not made an appearance for Leeds in the Championship.

“I’m happy to be here and I appreciate the opportunity,” he remarked. After talking to my parents and seeing the magnitude and support of the club, I realized it was a move I had to make.
