Rangers reject transfer bid from Nottingham Forest for Jack Butland
The news agency claims on their website (January 30) that the Premier League team has placed a bid for the goalkeeper, who arrived on a free transfer in the summer. However, Rangers turned down the deal and sent out a “hands off warning,” stating that they would not consider any bids for their top player before the transfer market shuts on Thursday.
Rangers issued a hands-off warning after turning down a bid from Nottingham Forest for goalkeeper Jack Butland, according to STV News.
“It’s understood Rangers will not entertain any offers for Butland who spent the second half of last season on loan at Manchester United.”
There is absolutely no way on Earth that Rangers should consider selling Super Jack unless they’re receiving a bid of at least £30 million. Butland is without a doubt the biggest acquisition Michael Beale made while he was in charge. He has taken over as Allan McGregor’s backup goalkeeper with remarkable ease and is currently the best in the nation.
He has been a constant in the SPFL this season, winning numerous games—including one in the Europa League—and playing a key role in the team’s victories.
Finding a goalie as excellent as him in the summer would be difficult, but it would be nearly impossible to replace him at this point in the transfer window in mid-season. Rangers typically spend this much on a player. Should he depart, it must be with ample time to find a suitable replacement and sufficient funds to secure a top-tier candidate. However, January? Not a chance. He needs to remain.
