Rangers & Celtic-linked Scott McKenna ‘set for’ transfer

According to reports, Scott McKenna will finish leaving Nottingham Forest.

This month, the 27-year-old Scotland international is scheduled to depart from the Premier League team.

It was reported at the beginning of January that Celtic and Rangers were both considering the strong center back. They reportedly wanted an initial loan with the goal of turning the arrangement into a long-term agreement.

Only five appearances for Forest this season; his most recent one was in September.

But it appears that his future is elsewhere, as he is reportedly likely to join with FC Copenhagen, according to a number of English outlets.

Before the European Championships in Germany this summer, McKenna wants regular football, according to John Percy of the Daily Telegraph.

In the lead-up to Euro 2024, Steve Clarke will undoubtedly be pleased to see one of his reliable defenders get plenty of playing time.

It’s unclear if the agreement to join the Danish powerhouses is a loan or a permanent relocation. Since that he is not under contract in the summer, any costs would be low.

Ally McCoist, meanwhile, was not buying Jeff Stelling’s claims that Joe Hart, the goalkeeper for Celtic, had a good chance of reaching England’s squad for Euro 2024 only because Jack Butland has been mentioned.
