Four Lads: Mohamed Diomande set to arrive at Rangers today as red tape removed
On January 30, the podcast presenter of Four Lads Had A Dream revealed that Rangers representatives traveled to Denmark to finalize the contract; however, Diomande is now scheduled to arrive in Glasgow.
According to reports, all of the problems and hold-ups related to his work permit have been resolved, and by the end of the week, he should start training with the team.
Speaking to The Rangers Review [30 January], Clifford shared: “He is due to properly arrive in Scotland today. I think his red tape is sorted, his work permit and everything else. He was supposed to arrive last week but that set it back a bit and we ended up going out there. “So he should be here, which is great news, maybe he’ll be involved in training towards the end of the week.”
It has been a long wait for Diomande to arrive in Glasgow; first, storms and high winds delayed his signing, and then work permit complications delayed his arrival. However, it appears that everything has now been resolved, so he can finally make his much-anticipated move.
At Ibrox, the £4.5 million midfield player from FC Nordsjaelland has generated a lot of excitement. Capable of operating from both the center and the wing, he appears to be precisely the kind of player the Rangers want and one who could flourish under Philippe Clement.
He still has plenty of time to improve at Ibrox, where he is only 22 years old. In the years to come, he might emerge as a major player and bring in some cash for Rangers through a potential sell-on.
There have been hints that he would be featured, if just in the matchday squad, when Rangers play Ayr United in the Scottish Cup fifth round on February 10 if he starts training later this week.
