Celtic hero names price for striker target as Rangers make late January plans after huge injury blow

Rangers and Celtic could make late moves for strikers during the January transfer window.

So far, the Hoops have signed only one player to their squad: Rapid Vienna’s ‘dynamic’ German winger Nicolas Kuhn.

Brendan Rodgers has characterized Kuhn as the ‘profile’ that his squad required, although there is still talk of a move for one more player in the coming days.

According to the Daily Record, Rodgers is looking to add a center forward to his team. Aberdeen attacker Bojan Miovski has recently gained popularity among supporters.

The North Macedonia international has fired in an impressive 14 goals from 27 appearances in all competitions this term – adding to the excellent 18 goals in 41 appearances that he recorded in his debut campaign.

Former Celtic legend John Hartson has pushed the club to make a bid for Miovski, believing that doing so will shift the title battle in Celtic’s favour.

He told the Sunday Post, “I’ve seen Bojan Miovski a few times and I really like his look.” I believe he would perform well at Celtic. He has a history of scoring goals for Aberdeen and understands what it takes to succeed at this level and for his native Macedonia.

Bojan has a good first touch, grips the ball well, and encourages others to play. He also charges at goal when the timing is right, causing defenders all sorts of problems.

Rangers change January transfer plans as they react to injury blow

Rangers are keen to sign a centre forward in the closing stages of the transfer window as Philippe Clement and his recruitment team react to Abdallah Sima’s devastating injury blow.

Sima was wounded while training for Senegal at the African Cup of Nations. The exact time frame for his injury has still to be decided, although Clement did clarify that he will be sidelined for a ‘long period’.

According to Football Insider, the Gers would prioritize finding a successor for Sima by the end of the season on February 1st.

According to the publication, Hearts star Lawrence Shankland is the key name on their radar following a phenomenal run of form in which he has 14 goals in his first 23 Premiership outings.
