The director believes Rangers have acquired a “fantastic player,” who may cost up to £6 million.

Mohamed Diomande, an Ivorian midfielder purchased by Rangers for more than £4 million from Danish team FC Nordsjaelland, is a “fantastic team player.”

The Superliga team was quite kind of Mohamed Diomande, who was just signed by Rangers as their second signing of the year, when the news of his departure was confirmed on Friday morning.

Cyriel Dessers‘ early goal helped the Scottish Premiership contenders defeat St Mirren 1-0 on Saturday, and they now boast one of the most productive and adaptable midfielders in Scandinavian football.

Sporting director Jan Laursen says of Diomande, “He has had an enormous impact on the development we have gone through.” Diomande was a key member of the team that finished second in the previous season.

In addition to being a great team player, he also takes accountability off the field. Additionally, even though it would have been wonderful to keep him, we want to support him going forward for the same reason.

“He has contributed so much and been top-loyal throughout. Which is why, after careful consideration and many talks with ‘Dio’ himself, we have chosen to fulfil his wish to switch to Rangers.

“We believe that there is much more in store for him.”

He has made a huge contribution and shown unwavering loyalty all along. For this reason, we have decided to grant ‘Dio’s’ request to join the Rangers after giving it serious thought and having numerous conversations with him.

“We think he has a lot more in store for him.”

“During this procedure, it has become evident to all of us how much the Rangers value ‘Dio,'” said Phil Radley, FCN’s Director of Football Operations.

“We are happy to work with a team like Rangers FC, who recognize his value both on and off the field and have a plan for his next development step.”

The pressure on the Rangers to agree to new contracts for Ryan Jack and John Lundstram will lessen with Diomande’s arrival. The Glasgow giants have accepted terms with Fluminense for 20-year-old left-back Jefte, and could add a third player before the deadline next week.
