Joe Rodon, a loanee from Leeds United, is playing brilliantly at the back for the team under Daniel Farke in the Championship right now.
Following a chaotic conclusion to their Premier League tenure, Leeds’ relegation from the league required them to strengthen their defense, which they achieved by bringing in Joe Rodon.
Even though the Welsh international is still a player for the North London club, Leeds‘ supporters have already developed a strong affection for him since he came from Tottenham on a season-long loan.
Phil Hay offers Tottenham and Leeds transfer analysis.
Both Rodon’s original club and Spurs have taken notice of his performances, even if Rodon has never been part of Ange Postecoglou’s system again.
After the victory over Preston, Phil Hay of The Athletic stated that Spurs might increase the towering center-back’s worth in the summer due to his recent form.
Rodon may still be valuable to the Spurs going into the final 18 months of his contract this year:
“Tottenham Hotspur included no recall clause in his temporary agreement, a decision which laid bare Rodon’s lack of prominence there. Leeds know he is for sale anyway because when they enquired about him over the summer, Spurs asked for £15million at first.
“They would probably ask for more now, on the basis that Rodon has done what clubs hope extraneous loanees will do: go out, make waves, enhance their value. All of those boxes he is ticking.”
