Turkish journalists share intel on Ridvan Yilmaz Rangers to Galatasaray ‘agreement’

Two well-known Turkish reporters have discussed what they have learned about a purported “agreement” between Galatasaray and Rangers star Ridvan Yilmaz.

The Ibrox left-back is still being linked to a move away from Glasgow, and the Turkish powerhouses are the team most commonly connected to him.

Rangers have nothing against selling Yilmaz, but before a trade is approved, Galatasaray and the Rangers must agree on a fair price.

Before allowing Yilmaz to depart so quickly, the Gers will probably want assurances on Jefte as well. The Brazilian left-back is rumored to have decided to join Rangers.

Yilmaz is apparently valued at somewhat more than £5 million by Philippe Clement’s team, who has reportedly already rejected a loan-to-buy deal from Galatasaray.

Burhan Can Terzi and Salim Manav, who work for Sportcell and Ajansspor, respectively, claim that the £3.5 million player has reached a personal agreement with Galatasaray despite the talks between the two teams.

Ridvan Yilmaz ‘agreement’

Rangers and Galatasaray are reportedly still in talks about a loan to buy agreement for Yilmaz, with the latter expected to pay up in full in the summer, according to Burhan Can Terzi.

He is cited as stating this on LUE TV: “With Angelino, things broke.” Rıdvan Yılmaz is the front-runner for the left back position at Galatasaray. Rangers state that payment will be made in June. Galatasaray adds, “I’ll rent it; if we’d like, we can pay in June.”

Salim Manav, who was seated across the table and watching the same show, concurred and said, “It sounds like this. Galatasaray and Rıdvan Yılmaz came to an understanding.

What this tells us is that Rangers and the Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray are still negotiating the specifics of Yilmaz’s verbal agreement to sign with them.

Discussions will undoubtedly focus on the final agreed transfer amount and whether to loan money before selling it permanently in the summer.
