Emiliano Martinez, the goalkeeper for Aston Villa, received accolades from the Chelsea boss for his performance on Friday night.
Following a back-and-forth match between the Blues and Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge, the result was a 0-0 tie.
It was by no means a dull, monotonous game, though, with plenty of chances for both sides to break the draw.
Chelsea in particular had plenty of opportunities to score, but Martinez, the goalkeeper, gave an outstanding performance.
After the game, Mauricio Pochettino called the Argentine goalie “amazing” in his remarks.
He said via HITC, “We came from Tuesday where we scored six.”
“The keeper, Emiliano, is outstanding, in my opinion. He was excellent beyond belief. Yes, occasionally good fortune is needed to score.
The FA Cup fourth round match between the two teams at Villa Park must now be replayed, but Pochettino will now be totally focused on next Wednesday night.
The Blues’ Premier League matchup against Liverpool, the league leaders, takes place at Anfield.
Following the most recent information regarding Jurgen Klopp’s leaving, Anfield will undoubtedly be motivated to win the match and get revenge for losing to Chelsea early in the season.
