John Lundstram excels with an 8/10, but Scott Wright delivers a 3/10 stinker – Rangers player ratings vs St Mirren

Rangers defeated St Mirren on Saturday lunchtime, gaining a crucial three points due to a goal from Cyriel Desser, his 12th of the year.

John Lundstram’s exquisite pass over the top to Cyriel Dessers, who wrapped around the goalie for his third goal in three games, gave the Gers the early advantage. The Gers dominated the first forty-five minutes of play.

Neither team really produced much in the second half, so it was quiet and Rangers held strong to earn a crucial three points and another clean sheet.

Jack Butland: 6 out of 10.

did nothing wrong at all, but at the same time, there was nothing to do during the entire game. remained vigilant, made one save in the first half, but otherwise had a simple day at work.

6/10 for James Tavernier

The captain delivered a solid performance, demonstrating his improved performance moving forward once more. In the first half, he kept St Mirren quiet at the other end while hitting the post with a long-range strike and creating opportunities with his passing.

Goldson, Connor – 6/10

rejoined the club following his suspension and was his normal enormous self at the back, controlling the defensive line, dominating aerially, and passing the ball well.

John Souttar: Six out of Ten

The Rangers defence had very little to do so it was difficult for the players to stand out with their performances, but Souttar didn’t put a foot wrong and can be happy with his performance alongside Goldson.

Ridvan Yilmaz – 6/10

In tough conditions Yilmaz was able to get up and down the pitch well and provide support for the attack. However with the forward line rather blunt throughout, it wasn’t the best performance overall.

John Lundstram – 8/10

Lundstram is emerging as the key midfielder in Clement’s squad with his solid passing, strong tackling and tactical awareness. Another excellent performance where he was the best player on the pitch by a mile. Get him that new contract.

6/10 for Nicolas Raskin

The Belgian is getting back to full fitness and is in fantastic shape, which bodes well for the remainder of the campaign. possessed the ball well and used his passing and dribbling to break lines, but he needs to make a bigger impact in the last third.

Sterling Dujon: 7/10

Although Sterling is the team’s utility man, he is currently playing well. Even though he was a natural defender, he began the game in midfield, moved to the flank, and did everything correctly to establish himself as a vital player in Clement’s starting eleven.

Cantwell, Todd – 4/10

Cantwell was once again substituted at halftime, which may raise concerns about fitness, but he was more of a spectator than a participant in the first half and found it difficult to have a significant effect.

Scott Wright: 3.10

Captured from the outset by a unique possibility, I was hooked by halftime. struggled to make any kind of impression, couldn’t hold possession well, and failed to run at his opponents. Not very good.

7/10 for Cyriel Dessers

The Nigerian, who appears fitter and more skilled than at any other time in his Ibrox career, scores his third goal in three games. A well-executed goal that validated his starting position and demonstrated his growing confidence.

REPLACEMENTS

5/10 for Ross McCausland

Tom Lawrence: A 5 out of 10.

Jack Ryan: 5 out of 10.

Borna Barisic – N/A

Rabbi Matondo – N/A
