Former Dallas Cowboys WR Takes Massive Shot At Star Pass Rusher Micah Parsons In Odd Move.

The Dallas Cowboys face important decisions in the near future.

Jerry Jones and company have two key decisions to make in the near future, including whether to sign Dak Prescott to a long-term contract, keep him on the current deal, or release/trade the franchise quarterback.

The team’s young studs, Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb, are reaching the conclusion of their rookie contracts and will require a significant pay raise to stay in Dallas.

Lamb is coming off a breakout season in which Mike McCarthy was able to maximize his use as the Dallas Cowboys’ No. 1 wide receiver. He completed 2023 as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, earning First-Team All-Pro recognition.

Parsons has been an incredible wrecking force since the Cowboys selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft from Penn State.

He won NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021, had back-to-back First-Team All-Pro seasons in his first two years in the league, and earned his third Pro Bowl appearance in 2023 with 64 tackles and 14 sacks.

Back in October, ESPN Insider Dan Graziano discussed the Dallas Cowboys’ “big three” and their forthcoming contracts.

Micah Parsons will be eligible for his first extension next offseason. The Cowboys are still interested in signing CeeDee Lamb, and they will also discuss a contract deal with quarterback Dak Prescott next offseason. However, Parsons could be in line for a record-breaking defensive player contract and will most likely be the team’s first focus. The Cowboys have been preparing for this transaction for at least a year.

During training camp, Jerry Jones stated that big adjustments may be necessary to pay the edge rusher a record-breaking deal that matches with the current market value for his position.

“We need money to pay Parsons. We need the money to pay the players we will have to pay in the future. That is a fact. That is not even a philosophy. It’s simply a fact. Those monies are present, and we have them at this level. You couldn’t put together a roster if you redid all of the contracts.

Former Dallas Cowboys Player Says Micah Parsons Is Most ‘Selfish Player On The Roster’

While Parsons comes off as a team-oriented guy and one of the leaders in the Cowboys locker room, one former Dallas WR had harsh words about the All-Pro on a recent podcast appearance.

Parsons has arguably been Dallas’ best player since entering the NFL, but Jesse Holley has serious criticism for the 24-year-old.

Holley is a former Cowboys receiver who played 28 games over the 2010 and 2011 seasons. On a recent episode of Ray Ray’s Podcast, Holley went after Parsons. While the former receiver doesn’t criticize his performances, he believes that Parsons is only out for himself.

“Micah Parsons, to me, is probably the most selfish player on this football team,” Holley said. “One of the reasons that Micah Parsons does not want to play linebacker is it’s too much of a responsibility… Maybe it’s just the youth in him. Micah doesn’t want to study. Micah doesn’t want to focus in, and I truly believe Micah wants to be great for Micah.”

It seems unusual for someone who isn’t in the building on a daily basis to take such a personal blow at the team’s most talented player.

Micah Parsons, the Dallas Cowboys’ pass rusher, is known for his outspoken personality. And, while Parsons responded to X, it appears that the two-time All-Pro is taking the high road.

“Y’all simply want a reaction from me, it’s not going to work lol! I’m at peace! Love !” Parsons wrote on January 26.

It’s not a direct response to Holley’s remarks, but it’s clear Parsons is referring to the Cowboys alum’s call-out. Parsons has his own podcast, so he may
