Rangers manager Clement criticizes St. Mirren’s field, saying it hinders “fine football.”

St. Mirren’s pitch has drawn criticism from Rangers manager Philippe Clement, who said that “no one can play good football” on it.

Cyriel Dessers’ goal in the first half saw the Ibrox team triumph 1-0 in Paisley.

Even though Clement thought the visitors weren’t playing at their best, he was prepared to give them a pass because of the difficult circumstances.

“It is a tough afternoon but it is because of the circumstances,” he stated in an interview with Sky Sports. It’s obvious to everyone that you are a poor football player.

“You would not see excellent football there, even if Barcelona or Manchester City were on the field. It is just not feasible.”

“It is unfortunate for both the players and onlookers because the game is more kick than rush. I don’t think people are interested in seeing a lot of those kinds of games anymore.

“The team’s ability to adjust is what matters most. We didn’t play the game the way we usually do, but we still won and maintained control.

“It’s significant because we were never truly in danger even if we only missed the second goal that would have ended the game in the second half.

“You must adjust to circumstances if you want to receive awards and high points.

“The players demonstrated their tenacity, hunger, and will to succeed, and that is really important since we play and practice in better conditions.
