Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers slashes £200k off luxury mansion as he struggles to find buyer

The 51-year-old Parkhead CEO paid £3.95 million for the upscale home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on a posh street.

In August of last year, he listed the house for more than £4.2 million, but after failing to find a buyer, he lowered the asking price to £4 million.

Five bedrooms, a gym, landscaped grounds, a double garage, and a bar area are all features of this gorgeous property.

In addition, there are speakers installed in the ceiling, air conditioning in the majority of the bedrooms, CCTV, underfloor heating, and electronically operated blinds.

Additionally, planning approval has been given for the creation of “leisure facilities.”

Property agent Sofia Da Silva said: “Immaculately presented to a very high specification, every part of this property is finished exceptionally.”

A description of the mansion added: “An exceptional double gable-fronted contemporary residence finished to an uncompromising standard located on one of Wilmslow’s most prestigious roads.”

After the passing of his cherished wife Cathy in November of last year, legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson listed his house on the same street for £3.5 million.

Shortly after Rodgers departed his position with Celtic in 2019, he was the victim of a horrifying heist at his £1.6 million property in Bearsden, near Glasgow.

He was not in the property but his family were forced to hide in a bathroom as the robbers stormed in and swiped medals.

A chilling photo later emerged showing a masked man posing outside the window of a house with a framed wedding portrait of Rodgers and his wife in the background.

In his first stint in Glasgow, Rodgers won back-to-back trebles. Before departing for Leicester in February 2019, he had won seven titles.

He led the Midlands club to the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League before quitting due to a string of unsatisfactory performances. In place of Ange Postecoglou, who departed for Tottenham, Rodgers returned to Celtic.
