Rangers Agree Deal For Target But Need Club’s Green Light
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Rangers have agreed to a deal with Brazilian team Fluminense pertaining for Jefte, but they are awaiting approval from APOEL to end his loan.
This month, Rangers are eager to strengthen their left-back position as part of Philippe Clement’s squad-building efforts.
The Gers have been connected to multiple left-backs, including Ridvan Yilmaz, whose contract at Ibrox is rumored to end in June, and Borna Barisic.
The 20-year-old Jefte of Fluminense has been seen by Rangers as a good addition to their team.
In the summer, the young left-back joined Cyprus outfit APOEL on a season-long loan and has impressed with his performances.
According to rumors, Rangers and Fluminense have reached an agreement for Jefte to move to Ibrox this month, but they are still awaiting word from APOEL to terminate his loan.
The 20-year-old and Rangers are rumored to have reached an agreement for a contract that will last until 2027.
All eyes will be on Rangers to see if they can seal the deal in time, with less than a week left in the winter window.
