Player keen to leave Rangers after talks – Wants Philippe Clement’s side to make exit easier
Rangers’ Rıdvan Yılmaz requested permission from Philippe Clement & co. to depart Ibrox during the winter market, according to a January 19th Milliyet article.
The left-back is wanted by Galatasaray, and two days ago, journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu said they are in negotiations with Rangers. Later on in the day, Philippe Clement gave the 22-year-old his debut against Hibernian, and he was recorded as a scorer.
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has requested a new left-back. Fotomaç have a report on the Rangers player and their title says ‘Okan Buruk convinced Rıdvan Yılmaz’.
Within the report, it’s said Angeliño, who’s on loan from RB Leipzig, is expected to leave Galatasaray and their plan is to replace him with the Turkey international. Therefore, the Istanbul club have the Rangers man on top of their target list for the winter market.
After speaking with Buruk over the phone, Yılmaz expressed his willingness to support him. According to the source, he also wants Philippe Clement to help him leave Rangers on a loan, under Galatasaray’s conditions.
Rangers are unlikely to grant his request given Philippe Clement’s previous declaration that Yılmaz needs to make the right offer in order to leave Ibrox.
