Galatasaray manager in phone call with Ridvan Yilmaz, Rangers left-back now wants Ibrox loan exit as option-to-buy decision made

In a conversation with Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz, the Galatasaray manager wants the loan from Ibrox to end as soon as the decision to purchase is made.

According to Fotomac, Okan Buruk spoke with Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz directly over a possible loan swap to Galatasaray during the January transfer window.

On Friday, January 26, the Turkish newspaper said on its website that the 22-year-old left-back’s discussions for a temporary return to Istanbul with the Super Lig club’s manager were “positive.”

Although the Turkish international seems to be seeking for a way out of Ibrox this month, it was noted that he does not want an option-to-buy provision to be included in the agreement.

Not in order

Given that no deal has been completed with Rangers, it is totally out of order if the most recent report about Yilmaz having previously met with Buruk is to be true.

It’s not right from the player’s perspective as it shows a lack of respect to his employer, but there’s also no professionalism whatsoever being shown by Galatasaray.

The Gers have made their stance clear that they must receive money for the defender if he is to be allowed to leave Ibrox during this transfer window.

The club should not even be considering a straight loan deal, since he has earned a spot in Philippe Clement’s starting lineup in recent weeks and has a contract that runs until 2027.

He is a player for the Light Blues, and he shouldn’t be permitted to leave until it is in the best interests of the team. The situation is probably going to last until the deadline, thus the team needs to be firm.

While talks are still going on at Ibrox,Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on transfers for the Rangers.
