Everton ‘have watched’ £18.5m ‘fantastic talent’ who Crystal Palace recently bid for

Everton “has watched” Crystal Palace’s latest £18.5 million bid for “fantastic talent.”

Nobody anticipated much from Everton during the January transfer window, and they haven’t been let down yet.

There are no outgoings or incomings. As expected.

However, it hasn’t stopped the rumors from swirling, with certain celebrities being mentioned as potential Goodison Park switches, even if nothing has proven to happen as of yet.

As one journalist has disclosed, everything might be about to alter in the last five days of the window.

We at Everton News spoke exclusively to HITC Football’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey, who detailed one young star whom the Toffees might still sign, either this month or the summer.

Graeme Bailey’s comments regarding Everton’s January transfer window

We wanted to know if the reports that Amadou Onana would be leaving soon were true and if the team had prepared a strategy in case something happened to him.

Ultimately, the £33 million celebrity has developed into a crucial member of Sean Dyche’s team, therefore his departure would be devastating.

Bailey, though, has hinted that another midfield player might still be on the way and that it is doubtful the Belgian will go very soon.

He noted: ‘It’s interesting that we see Adam Wharton, who is subject to a bid from Crystal Palace, I do know he is one who Everton have watched previously, everyone has watched Adam Wharton he’s a fantastic talent, but I do think Everton will be sniffing around him.

“I don’t think there should be any backup plans, though; nobody is ever, in my opinion, going to pay £60 million for Amadou Onana, especially not in January.”

How excellent is Adam Wharton?

Since the 19-year-old is an all-action midfielder who seems to be able to do everything, it is not surprising that the Eagles are eager to sign him, even at the estimated £18.5 million price.

Similarly, that he has also attracted Dyche’s attention.

After all, it has been a blistering campaign thus far for the teenage enforcer, who can seemingly do it all.

A plethora of remarkable personalities serve as examples of this, portraying a youthful prodigy who was free to perform anywhere he pleased.

As seen by his 2.3 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, and 5.5 ball recoveries per game in the Championship, according to Sofascore, his defensive acumen is already flawless.

Then, his 1.3 crucial passes per game and 85% pass accuracy highlight his ability to dominate the game.

The fact that, in addition to these other captivating stats, he has managed to add two goals and three assists to his game in the league is maybe the most amazing.

Wharton’s options are genuinely endless, and the only thing standing in her way is for Everton to provide the funding required to implement Bailey’s recommendation.
