Rangers injury news: Doctor shares worst-case update on Abdallah Sima.

Dr. Rajpal Brar says Rangers forward Abdallah Sima might be sidelined more than eight weeks after suffering an injury while playing for his country.

The injury expert speculates that it might even be a Grade 4 muscular rupture based on information provided by the Senegalese federation.

As the physiotherapists will wait for the pain and discomfort to subside before addressing it, rehabilitation is unlikely to start immediately away.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar, who spoke exclusively to Ibrox News about his plight, stated:

“Per the Senegalese Football Federation, he injured an adductor longus muscle in his left thigh and will be out for an extended period of time.

“Best case here would likely be a Grade 2 or 3 which is typically four to six weeks out and worst case would be a Grade 4 rupture which would be two to three months out.

“The expectations and hopes will be for him to be back within eight weeks but he could even be out longer.

“His initial course of action will be determined by the extent of the injury, but generally speaking, it involves waiting for the pain and discomfort to subside before starting rehabilitation.”

Philippe Clement will be severely hurt by Sima’s absence, as he was his primary goal-scoring option this season.

In his 20 league games for the Rangers, the 22-year-old has scored 10 goals and given two assists.

Gers might have to sign a successor in the January transfer window since it is doubtful that he would return before the end of March.
