Dak Prescott named as finalist for MVP Award
Dallas -On Thursday, Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, was announced as one of the five candidates for the NFL MVP Award.
Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, and Ryan Braun of the San Francisco 49ers were also named. 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey
Leading Dallas to a 12-5 record, the Cowboys quarterback led the NFL in touchdown passes with 36 and passed for 4,516 yards.
Prescott and Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb were both nominated for the Offensive Player of the Year Award. Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, Jackson, and McCaffrey are also nominees.
DaRon Bland, a cornerback, and Micah Parsons, a pass rusher with the Cowboys, are the nominees for defensive player of the year. The other nominees are Myles Garrett of Cleveland, Maxx Crosby of Las Vegas, and T.J. Watt of Pittsburgh.
On Thursday, February 8, the NFL Honors primetime awards program will feature the announcement of the winners.
