The club is now accepting offers for the Sheffield United target.
Ben Godfrey is valued at £20 million, and Everton is apparently willing to let him leave this month. HITC reports that Leeds, Luton, Sheffield United, and Nottingham Forest have all expressed interest in signing the centre-half.
As the January transfer window draws to an end, Everton is reportedly open to receiving bids for Ben Godfrey, amid continuous rumors regarding the former Norwich City captain’s future.
Ben Godfrey has drawn interest from a number of Premier League and Championship clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, and Luton Town.
Leeds is also interested in the midfielder, but with other Premier League teams battling for Godfrey’s signature, it’s unclear if he would consider a transfer to the Championship. The Leeds team may have an advantage in landing the player because of their relationship with Daniel Farke, the manager at Elland Road.
Godfrey rose to prominence at Carrow Road under Daniel Farke in the English premier league. The relationship with Farke, who managed him at the time, adds a noteworthy element to Leeds’s possible interest in signing Godfrey.
The versatile 26-year-old defender is just one of several names that Sheffield United has been connected to recently, as it seems the Blades are concentrating on strengthening their defense.
There have been mentions of Chris Mepham, Mason Holgate, and Joe Worrall. Godfrey is undoubtedly the finest choice among these candidates; the question is whether United can acquire him.
