BBC Sportsound pundit blown away by what ‘wonderful’ John Lundstram did for Rangers v Hibernian

John Lundstram’s ‘amazing’ performance for Rangers vs Hibernian left BBC Sportsound pundit speechless.

John Lundstram, a midfielder for Rangers, stunned Kenny Miller with a “wonderful pass” after the Gers’ Scottish Premiership matchup with Hibernian.

On Wednesday, January 24, Philippe Clement’s team defeated Celtic 3-0 at Easter Road thanks to goals from Ridvan Yilmaz, Todd Cantwell, and Cyriel Dessers, reducing the gap to just five points.

Though the majority of the credit went to Yilmaz and Cantwell for their goals, Miller was as thrilled by Lundstram’s ball over the top of the Hibs defense to find the Gers’ left back.

He stated, “It’s a great run from Yilmaz, out to in, and a wonderful pass from Lundstram,” during an interview on BBC Sportsound on January 24, 20:23.

Magical moments

Though he may not have received as much attention since Clement moved to Ibrox, Lundstram has been one of the Rangers’ most reliable players this season.

Every week, the Englishman has shown up and contributed significantly to the Belgian midfield, showing remarkable poise when the ball is at his feet and getting extremely involved when out of possession. On Wednesday, he once again shown this ability.

His pass to Yilmaz in the first half was simply perfect, and while the Turkish international’s finish was equally impressive because of his excellent catch of the strike, it was made much simpler by the excellent quality of the ball that ended up in his path.

The 29-year-old might play a significant role in helping the Gers cut the gap on Celtic at the top of the Premiership this season, so hopefully he can stay healthy and available for the rest of the campaign.

In other Rangers news, Galatasaray’s attempt to sign Ridvan Yilmaz this month has encountered a new roadblock.
