Todd Cantwell sent flying as Rangers star FLOORS Hibs boss Nick Montgomery and sends Philippe Clement into a rage.
The Belgian boss was raging as his star man was left in pain in the home dugout at Easter Road.
After Todd Cantwell collided with Hibs manager Nick Montgomery in the Easter Road dugout, enraged Rangers manager Philippe Clement went on the attack.
The first goal in the capital had been scored by Ridvan Yilmaz, but the Ibrox playmaker’s embarrassing off-field collapse during the Scottish Premiership match soon soured the Belgian manager. The Hibs combo of Elie Youan and Kanayo Megwa scythed down the Rangers star, taking out Montgomery in the process as they tumbled into the home dugout.
Clement instantly stepped out of his dugout and gestured in disbelief that the pressure had been allowed by referee Steven McLean.
Cantwell went down holding his hamstring and it appeared he would be unable to continue – with the Englishman receiving treatment from
the Rangers medical team. Whistler McLean would take Clement to the side and would urge him to calm down following the flashpoint.
Cantwell appeared to pull up just before he was taken out but he played on and scored a scorching second goal for Rangers but he failed to to emerge for the second half and could well have picked up a knock.
