Sky Sports pundit stunned by what Aston Villa transfer target did against Chelsea.

Morgan Rogers of Middlesbrough has been the subject of intense interest from Aston Villa. According to sources, the Villans have made two approaches to the 21-year-old in an attempt to acquire his services.

Middlesbrough, who feel that Aston Villa is using a lowball approach, has turned down both of their proposals. It’s unclear if Villa will make any further attempts to get Morgan Rogers.

The Independent claims that Boro believes Rogers is worth about £10 million. Rogers played in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea despite the ongoing transfer talks, and he scored late in the team’s 6-1 defeat.

For the visiting Middlesbrough supporters, Rogers’ moment of individual brilliance—which included a goal—provided cause for joy.

In an interview on Sky Sports prior to the game, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink acknowledged Rogers’ skill and influence and said he understood why Aston Villa was interested in him.

“I really like him. Excellent technically. raised at Man City and, while I was at Burton, was leased to Lincoln. He is robust and very skilled technically.

He works extremely hard, does the other part of the job, and can put the ball in the net. That explains why Aston Villa is pursuing him.

Under Michael Carrick, Morgan Rogers has been in superb form for Middlesbrough, making 33 appearances, scoring seven goals, and dishing out

nine assists thus far this season. Aston Villa was probably happy with his latest goal against Chelsea since it shows that he can still play admirably against elite teams.
