Rangers manager Philippe Clement lashes out at Neil Lennon, saying he’s pleased to hear criticism from
Celtic cynics.
Philippe Clement, manager of the Gers, is happy that Neil Lennon made fun of his team since it spared
him from having to bring up the championship with them.
In response to the former Hops manager’s assertion that his Rangers team possesses the mental
toughness necessary to contend with the Parkhead boys for the Premiership title, the Belgian took to
Twitter.
Although Clement has revealed that loan star Abdallah Sima will be out permanently following an injury
sustained during the AFCON with Senegal, the team is expected to sign Mohamed Diomande from
Nordsjaelland for £4.5 million.
“I am glad people outside of the club help to motivate my players.” I need to put in less time. into that
myself.
The players have showed a lot of mentality in the last couple of months.
Even at Celtic Park with 10 players, they did that.
So we cannot speak about mentality in that way until now. We just need to confirm that in the next six
months.”
Clement understands that the pressure will only increase in the final stages, but he stated,
“I want players that are motivated by themselves. Players with internal motivation.
I want to watch winners, and winners don’t care what others are saying.
“They simply want to win and have the ambition to win for themselves.
And I see more and more players behaving in that manner. Yes, we are. Not preoccupied with noise.
