Player to arrive at Ibrox on Wed to complete Rangers transfer, announcement due in days – report Ibrox News

Mohamed Diomande due to arrive at Ibrox on Wednesday to complete Rangers transfer as announcement due in days

According to Four Lads Had A Dream, Mohamed Diomande is scheduled to arrive in Glasgow on Wednesday, January 24, to finalize his transfer to Rangers.

The midfield player is scheduled to go to Scotland to complete his transfer from Nordsjaelland, according to a report from the Rangers podcast via its X account on Tuesday, January 23. An announcement on the deal is anticipated in the coming days.

Storm Isha had caused Diomande’s arrival to be delayed, but now that his £4.5 million transfer is complete, it looks like he will sign a “long-term” contract with the Light Blues [Chris Jack, 23 January]. However, the deal won’t be official until paper is signed.

Writing on X, Four Lads said: ” Diomande is due to arrive tomorrow, all going well, never done until it’s done, announcement in coming days.”

Nearly there

It probably hasn’t been quite as exciting a transfer window as most Rangers supporters had hoped with the only major arrival at Ibrox being Fabio Silva, but it finally seems as though the Gers are making some big moves this month.

Diomande’s arrival won’t be widely celebrated until he posts a photo of himself sporting a Gers scarf on social media, but unless he has a dramatic change of heart at the last minute, it appears that he will join the Rangers.

Since taking over at Ibrox, Philippe Clement has had to bolster his midfield because too many of the players he now has available have serious health issues or physical issues that keep them out of the game for extended stretches of time.

Hopefully, the 22-year-old will sign on the dotted line and make the trip to Ibrox without any last-minute drama. Despite the high cost of the transaction, Rangers may pull off a major coup if Diomande performs well.
