Controversial reported £2m Rangers deadline day signing offers Ibrox target crucial advice

Hearts manager Steven Naismith has been discussing his recollections of switching to the Rangers on

deadline day amid those ties to Lawrence Shankland.

The Gers have been touted a lot along with the 28-year-old bluenose striker, who has scored 18 goals for

Hearts this season.

experience.” Since then, he has talked about his own decision to join the Rangers.

The forward signed a £2 million deadline-day deal from Kilmarnock in 2007 in the eleventh hour, with

the Ibrox team registering the transfer at 11:59 p.m.

This came about following Naismith’s submission, which he later withdrew from Rugby Park.

Shankland is still connected to the Rangers.

The striker was left out of the Jambos’ matchday lineup for their Scottish Cup victory over Spartans over

the weekend.
