Jerry Jones had nice gesture for Cowboys fan who died.
Owner of the Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones paid a touching tribute to a fan who passed away shortly before their opening game.
Lifelong Cowboys fan Timothy Washington was scheduled to see his first game versus the Washington Commanders, but he passed away suddenly just before
yards away from the arena. When Jones learned of the event, he personally sent a letter and flowers to the Washington family.
Expressing his gratitude to the Cowboys for being able to have a “small part” in Washington’s life, Jones also sent his sympathies and best wishes to the Washington family.
The longtime Cowboys owner can be something of a stereotype thanks to his larger-than-life personality, his ownership of the Cowboys, and some of
his public pronouncements. That said, he does not lose sight of the team’s fanbase. This was a neat gesture, and one the family clearly valued and appreciated a great deal.
