AFC and NFC Championship Sunday: Schedule and How to Watch

How to watch the AFC and NFC championships on Sunday?

The NFL playoffs saw us go from eight teams to just four in the divisional rounds, with the 49ers, Ravens, Chiefs, and Lions moving on to Championship Sunday.

Let’s examine both games and your viewing options: (Central time applies to all times.)

Game of the AFC Championship, Sunday, January 28:

At 2:00 pm on CBS, the #1 Baltimore Ravens will take on the #3 Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champions.

For the first time in team history, Baltimore will host the AFC championship game. In the meantime, the Chiefs will be playing in the AFC Championship game for the sixth consecutive year.

The 49ers should take a serious look at their need for yet another last-minute comeback.

The date is January 14, 2012. We are in San Francisco at Candlestick Park. The 49ers need a touchdown with 14 seconds remaining, down three, and facing a third down to maintain their hopes of making the playoffs without having to go to OT. In the interim, the Saints can draw a conclusion here.

Sunday, January 28, NFC Championship Game:

On FOX, the (#3) Detroit Lions will take on the (#1) San Francisco 49ers at 5:30 p.m.

San Francisco has made the most trips to the NFC title game (19) in NFL history. The Lions, on the other hand, will be playing in their second NFC Championship game and, should they prevail, their first-ever Super Bowl trip.
