Simon Jordan lashes out over Everton controversy as he shares Manchester City and Premier League verdict

Simon Jordan offers his thoughts on Manchester City and the Premier League while lashing out at the Everton scandal.

Because Manchester City has not acknowledged any wrongdoing, Simon Jordan thinks that the claims against them are “very different” from those against Everton and Nottingham Forest.

In an article published on Thursday, January 18, on page 71 of the Daily Mail’s print edition, the commentator argued that although some fans want rich owners to take over and do as they like, others want order to be put into place. He urged fans to “make your minds up.”

He continued by saying that while there is a claim that the Premier League’s reputation is harmed by the spending breach charges, he doesn’t “buy that” because the league is mostly driven by “what broadcasters think of it.”

This situation is very messy and it’s understandable that Everton are extremely frustrated with how they’ve been treated over the past few months.

The club has looked to comply with the Premier League every step of the way, but they could be staring down the barrell of yet another points deduction after a previous ruling saw them docked 10 points in November.

The Toffees have been forced back into another relegation battle and are still waiting to find out if their appeal of that decision was successful.

Man City disputes the charges, which makes the case against them seem more convoluted, but this should have been settled by now.

The Blues have every reason to be upset with their treatment in comparison to the Premier League winners, but all they can do is hope that this predicament doesn’t result in them losing additional points this year.

In other Everton news, scouts from a Premier League opponent have visited one of the Toffees’ players.
