Rangers transfer bulletin as Ridvan Yilmaz responds to Clement request and cult hero sparks shock
signing fight
The left-back has showed his present club love even if he hasn’t been able to firmly establish himself as
an Ibrox regular.
Demanding Rangers boss Philippe Clement issued another appeal to his stars to remain all-in and it
appears Ridvan Yilmaz is on board despite interest in his services from elsewhere.
The left-back has been unable to truly cement himself as an Ibrox regular but the man arrived from
Besiktas in 2022 is in his best moment in terms of game time. But minutes in lieu of the absent Borna
Barisic doesn’t appear to guarantee his future with Hellas Verona and Galatasaray linked with the 22-
year-old.
Yilmaz’s exit door appears to be open if an appropriate amount is sought, and manager Clement has
made it clear that if his Ibrox squad stays in place past the end of the window in two weeks, it will be
their responsibility to demonstrate their want to continue at Rangers. “We will see what’s going to
happen,” the Belgian stated. Players must also demonstrate their sincere want to stay for the upcoming
few months, so we must be ready for anything and for every position so that we have backup plans in
case something goes wrong.
And on Yilmaz directly, Clement added: “That is one position that we have two players; one is end of
contract and the other one there is a lot of rumors around. So it’s clear that we need to be ready for that
position to have solutions.”
However, Yilmaz seems up for the task, as he took to social media following his performance against
Copenhagen in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw to express his love for his present squad with a blue heart emoji.
Although Yilmaz’s future is still uncertain, he is eager to emphasize his dedication to the Rangers
organization.
