Rangers linked striker scores 4 goals in 32 minutes before ruling out move

Michy Batyshuayi, a former striker for Chelsea and the Premier League, scored four goals in a 6-0 v

ictory over Fenerbahce, sparking rumors that the Belgium international might make an unexpected

switch to Rangers.

A hat-trick and then some during a six-goal Fenerbahce triumph is unlikely to calm the demand for a

new center-forward at Ibrox during the January transfer window, even though the veracity of those

stories has been disputed in certain areas.

Michy Batshuayi breezed into double figures and all the way up to 13 as the Turkish Super Lig giants

turned on the style against Adanspor.

In fact, Batshuayi needed only 32 minutes to find the net on four occasions, Ismail Kartal’s side cruising

into the next round of the Turkish Cup as a striker who once set Chelsea back a cool £33 million offered

a reminder that his class is, indeed, very much permanent.

Michy Batshuayi is apparently liked by Rangers.

The seasoned poacher, who has also enjoyed stints at Valencia, Borussia Dortmund, and Crystal Palace,

grinned and said, “I am happy with the result we got” (Sporx).

“Many people discuss rumors, but I’m at Fenerbahce. I’m paying attention to Fener. My teammates and

coach have faith in me. I endeavor to perform my duties.

When asked about the rumors that suggested Batshuayi might return to the United Kingdom, Fener

coach Ismail Kartal was a little more direct. Rangers manager Philippe Clement has made no secret of

his desire for additional reinforcements, even with the addition of Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves.
