Former Ole Miss running back Snoop Conner inks contract with Dallas Cowboys

Snoop Conner, a former Ole Miss running back, signs a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

Snoop Conner, a former Ole Miss running back, has committed to play for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. Conner was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Conner’s NFL stats thus far have been quite meager. In 2022, he ran the ball 12 times for 42 yards and one touchdown in his rookie season. However, in 2023, he was not included on the Jaguars’ 53-man roster and played the whole season on the practice squad.

He will now get the chance to make an impression on the coaching staff of the Dallas Cowboys.

Hattiesburg native Conner was a three-star prospect who was ranked as the No. 29 player in Mississippi and the No. 61 running back in the country in the 2019 class.

Conner played running back in all 13 of Ole Miss’s games in 2021, making one start. With 13 running touchdowns and 647 rushing yards on 130 carries, he concluded the season ranked third in the SEC and No. 24 nationwide. His 13 rushing touchdowns in a single season tied the record for most by a Rebel. In 2021, he also hauled in 14 receptions for 82 yards.

After his senior year, Conner made the decision to forego finishing his senior year and join the NFL Draft.

Conner and the Cowboys agreed to a reserve/future deal.
