Five Stud Defensive Players the Vikings Could Draft With the 11th Pick

Keep an eye on these five names throughout the pre-draft process.

It will arrive before you know it—the NFL draft is just over three months away. Events like the Senior Bowl and Shrine Bowl will intensify the pre-draft process in a few weeks, and in late February the always-important scouting combine will begin.

The Vikings had the eleventh overall pick in the draft this year. Let’s put off the understandable conjecture that general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah will select a quarterback in the first round and possibly trade up to do so for the time being. The Vikings will have the chance to select a blue-chip defensive prospect who may potentially serve as a key player on that side of the ball, even if they decide to bring back Kirk Cousins or find another solution at quarterback.

When the 11th pick comes around, the Vikings should have an intriguing group of defensive players to choose from because the top ten picks are anticipated to be dominated by offensive players (QBs, WRs, OTs, and TE Brock Bowers). Though we’ll go into greater detail about each of these prospects in the upcoming months, these five defensive players should be on your radar as potential Vikings targets this season.

Edge Rushers

  • Dallas Turner, Alabama
  • Laiatu Latu, UCLA
  • Jared Verse, Florida State.
  • Most people consider these three to be at the top of this year’s EDGE class. With a tonne of potential, all three of these pass-rushing possibilities are extremely fascinating. This could be a nice year for the Vikings to finally choose an edge rusher in the first round for the first time since 2005, regardless of whether they decide to re-sign Danielle Hunter.                                                         Get more related update on… sportupdates.co.uk
