Before the January transfer window shuts, Everton is rumored to be interested in Aston Villa defender Calum Chambers.

We are excited to have Ty Bracey, the podcast host for Aston Villa, join us as our exclusive columnist. Ty will share his thoughts on the main topics at the club each week.
According to Ty Bracey, Aston Villa won’t get much money if they decide to sell Bertrand Traore and Calum Chambers during the January transfer window.

The two 28-year-olds are free to find new clubs this month, according to Villa manager Unai Emery, who made the announcement during a press conference on January 12. This is because they have slid down the hierarchy this season.

This season, Traore—who is presently traveling with Burkina Faso for the Africa Cup of Nations—has only made six appearances on the wing for the Villans, and right-back Chambers has made even fewer—just three.

Bracey emphasized the significance of getting the two off the pay bill and questioned if Premier League rivals Everton would be a viable destination given their financial difficulties.

“I think they’re not going to be players who we get a lot of money for, but it’s players off the wage bill,” Bracey stated in an exclusive interview with Villa News.

That would help to explain, given that Traore might be leaving, why we’re being connected to people like Emile Smith-Rowe. If he’s content for

Although they are having problems, Chambers probably wouldn’t go to a club like Everton, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did.

However, he might fit in with one of the teams that are now in 14th or 15th place, playing a little scrappy football and not performing too well.

“It might end up being clubs like that, but I don’t want to say Sheffield United and Luton, maybe a little bit above that.”

In other Aston Villa news, a broadcaster has hinted at a possible transfer market loophole that Villa may be taking advantage of.
