Rabbi Matondo reveals secret Rangers finishing sessions
The winger scored a goal in a friendly match against FC Copenhagen midweek, and he now wants to
score more goals this season to support Philippe Clement’s team both at home and in Europe.
Due to injuries, Matondo has fluctuated in and out of the Rangers lineup under Clement. However, he is
back and playing well, so he intends to be around as a regular starter.
He told Rangers TV: “It’s always nice to score. The manager always says there is no friendly games so it’s
always nice to score in any game. It felt nice and hopefully many more.”
Asked if he has been working on his finishing, he added: “Yeah, 100 per cent. Even in the off-break we
had, I had a few sessions outside of Rangers.
“Then coming back in the manager telling me ‘this is something you need to work on, keep working on
it’. It’s obviously paid off for today’s game and I’ll keep working on it and hopefully many more goals.
“It’s been challenging to come back up to speed (after injury), but I feel like I’m doing well right now,
and I hope that this trend continues with many more goals, assists, and team wins.
We will continue to compete in all events, therefore we will battle hard and give it our all for everyone.
Our roster, which includes several talented players, will help us. We will definitely give it our all in the
upcoming games.”
